Glaus, Hinske lead Atlanta to rout of Brewers
Baseball Betting Lines
05/11/2010 - Milwaukee, WI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Troy Glaus and Eric Hinske each drove in three runs as Atlanta clobbered Milwaukee, 11-3, in the second of a three-game series.
Brian McCann and Jason Heyward each had two hits, scored three times and drove in a run and Brooks Conrad hit a solo home run for the Braves, who have won three of their last four.
Tim Hudson (3-1) threw six innings in the start and he was charged with one run on six hits with six walks.
Casey McGehee had two hits, two runs and an RBI and Corey Hart and Alcides Escobar each drove in a run for the Brewers, who have dropped four of six. Dave Bush (1-3) suffered the loss as he was charged with three runs on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts over six innings.
Atlanta got on the board in the second as a leadoff double from McCann was followed two batters later by a two-bagger from Hinske for a 1-0 lead. It was shortlived, though, as Milwaukee got the run back in the bottom of the frame when Escobar's single brought home McGehee.
Milwaukee loaded the bases in the third with one out, but Hudson got Gregg Zaun to hit into a double play to end the inning.
The Braves grabbed the lead back in the fourth as Heyward led off with a single, stole second and later came around on a double from Omar Infante for a 2-1 advantage.
The Brewers got their first two runners on base in the fifth, but McGehee hit into a double play and Zaun flied out to end the frame.
Atlanta made it a 3-1 game in the sixth when Troy Glaus led off with a shot over the left field wall, his fourth homer of the season.
A three-run seventh gave the Braves a comfortable lead. With one out and Mitch Stetter on the mound, back-to-back singles from Martin Prado and Heyward were followed by an RBI single from McCann.
Todd Coffey then took the mound and got Glaus to fly out, but Hinske followed with a double to center to bring home the two runners for a 6-1 lead.
Eric O'Flaherty took the mound for Atlanta in the seventh and gave up a leadoff double to Jody Gerut, but got the next two batters out.
Peter Moylan then took the hill and gave up a single to McGehee that scored Gerut. After Zaun singled to left, Corey Hart then singled to right to score McGehee and make it a 6-3 game.
Atlanta, though, tacked on four more in the eighth. Conrad led the frame off with a home run off of Joe Inglett. Two batters later, Nate McLouth walked and Prado singled to right to put runners on the corners. Heyward then hit into a fielder's choice to plate McLouth.
After McCann was hit by a pitch, Jeff Suppan took the mound and gave up a two- run double by Glaus for a 10-3 advantage.
McLouth added an RBI single in the ninth to account for the final score.
Game Notes

New York, NY – October 3, 2007 – The dress rehearsal is over! The NHL preseason has ended and now that fans have had a glimpse of what is to come it is time to hit the book! Stanley Cup odds are live at MySportsbook.com, the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino.
The Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings remain on top of the odds charts after an impressive start in the preseason. Betting lines opened for both teams at 6-1 in June. Since then the Sens have fallen to 7-1 and the Red Wings are now caught in a pack including the defending champion Carolina Hurricanes, the San Jose Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks, all at 10-1.
MySportsbook.com has also posted props on each team’s point total for the regular season. The Senators lead the charge at 108.5 followed by the Ducks at 106.5. Detroit will attempt a repeat for the prize as the Red Wings are deadlocked with the Predators at 104.5 a piece. The temporary loss of highly touted rookie Evgeni Malkin puts a lot of pressure on the stick of assistant captain Sidney Crosby - his lowly Pittsburgh Penguins are listed at 71.5.
Even if bettors are not brave enough to put their money on the underdog, an early bet on the favorites at sportsbook.com tends to produce bigger payouts than a mid-season wager. Placing a $1,000 bet last summer on the Detroit Red Wings or Ottawa Senators would have paid out to $8,000 and $10,000 respectively, opposed to a $2,500 or $3,000 payout at the beginning of the playoffs.

Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament odds
As of February 9, MySportsbook.com has released its coveted 2007 Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament betting odds. “March Madness betting ” only a month away, the top ranked Florida Gators are favorite at 7-2 to win it all. The defending champs have not disappointed at all this season and currently have a 22-2 record and are undefeated (9-0) in SEC play. The Gators’ thrive off of their extremely balanced, experienced and versatile attack. All five starters started in last seasons National Championship game. What is most impressive with this group is their balance; the five starters all average between 10.7 and 13.6 PPG. The Gators have been on an absolute roll having won 15 straight by an average of 16.4 PPG.
Right behind the Gators are the 5th ranked UNC Tar Heels at 9-2. The Heels (21-3, 7-2) are absolutely loaded with top notch talent and are as deep as any team in the country. A concern for the Tar Heels might be inexperience. Of their top four scorers/ minute earners, three are freshmen and the other is a sophomore. The rest of the regular season, the Tar Heels play only one team that is currently ranked (Duke). Their remaining opponents do combine for an impressive 107-58 record though.
Other teams that the MySportsbook.com members seem to believe will win it all include the west coasts’ top team #2 UCLA (6-1), #3 OSU behind man-child Greg Oden (8-1), and #4 Wisconsin (10-1) behind their defense which has given up 70+ points only three times all season.
Below is a list of some of the favorites to win the 2007 Men’s NCAA Basketball Championship lines. For the full list of teams and March Madness odds be sure to log onto MySportsbook.com.
